When I was a busy bee working in NYC, I spent a good deal of my time day-dreaming about what it would be like to be able to just curl up in a bookstore and read all day. Oh, those lucky people who can do it anytime they please. Lucky, I tell you!
When I was in Melbourne and had the time, I lamented that there wasn't anywhere I could really do it.
But now? Until we move into our apartment and I'm forced to get a job, it's all I want to do and nobody can stop me. It's so liberating to walk into a bookstore and pick up a random book to read. It's a unique experience for me--non committal, as I don't have to buy it, but unlike a library these vjrgin pages are undeniably fresh, crisp and exactly what my soul needs when the rest of life is just so chaotic.
Currently reading: Heaven Is Here, by Stephanie Nielson. I'm on page 53, and so far I'm thinking it is commitment worthy!
